- Website Consultation / Design
£20 for the first hour of any session plus £15 per additional hour plus mileage (where required). Project budgets to be agreed prior to commencing work with half due in advance plus staged payments at agreed milestones, balance on completion. Progress and completion of the website is dependent on the client providing content on time and in the correct format, failure to provide content on time may lead to an increase in the cost of the site. Hosting, domain name registration and commercial website plugins are not included in the hourly rate and must be paid for in advance as their ownership will be registered to the client. The core software used to power GP Computer Support Scotland designed websites is WordPress and is open-source licenced. Unpaid invoices may result in content being removed or blocked until payment is received.
- Database / Spreadsheet Design
Priced as per Website Consultation / Design above.
- All other consultancy (on-site)
(including system maintenance, troubleshooting and software / hardware installation) £25 for the first hour plus £20 per additional hour. Mileage rates (HMRC basic rate) apply for locations over five miles (round trip from base) from Galashiels (Scottish Borders area) and Dunbar (East Lothian area).
With exception to Website design, the first hour of work must be paid for in advance in cash or bank transfer. The balance of any work is due on completion of each session. Some work will require key information from the client or the client’s supplier such as passwords and software keys etc. If this information is not supplied or is incorrect then the consultation may not be effective or it may take longer and therefore cost more. GP Computer Support Scotland does not accept responsibility for incomplete work due to failure of the client providing key information. In this situation, full payment of work undertaken will be due regardless of outcome. Acceptable methods of payment are cash, bank transfer and PayPal (cheques will only be accepted as payment in advance and the cheque payment must be cleared before work is carried out).
NB. Prices are subject to change, new rates will be published here before being implemented.
